From Cooley's Gardens catalog for 1950: "The form of this flower resembles 'Cascade Splendor', one of its parents, but the color inclines more to pink or rose, with just a suggestion of ashes of roses in its cast. There is considerable gold in the blending of color, especially near the haft. Style arms and beard are both golden yellow. Falls are wide and quite flat. Standards upright and closed, the entire flower heavily ruffled. 34 inches tall. Having been admired by the wife of the President of the American Iris Society at the annual meeting in 1949 this Iris was named in her honor."('Cascade Splendor' X 'Daybreak'), Honorable Mention 1951.
From Iris Test Garden Catalog, 1955: ALLINE ROGERS. Form of flower resembles Cascade Splendor, one of its parents. Color inclines more to pink or rose, with a suggestion of ashes of roses in its cast. Gold at haft. Falls quite wide and flat, standards upright and closed. Thirty-four inches tall. Named after the wife of the president of the American Iris Society. Originated by Kleinsorge in 1950. A fine Iris in every way. $3.00.

"Alline Rogers, on a one-year plant, had a large but somewhat coarsely textured flower which made less appeal to me than its parent, Cascade Splendor-one of my favorites. If it performs as well when established, I may change my mind."
