From G. G. Whitelegg catalog, 1921: ARIADNE. This is an exceedingly fine variety, a good strong grcwer and free flowering .. The individual flowers are very large and strikingly beautiful; S. very broad with waved edges, pure silvery light blue in colour, F. deeper blue suffused with reddish violet which is intensified at the base, where the falls are also heavily veined brown; beard pale yellow. |
