'Balmung' (Hans Peter Sass, R. 1938) TB, Midseason to late bloom. Color Class-Y8D reverse. Height 38". Slight fragrance. From yellow plicata seedlings. Honorable Mention 1940; Award of Merit 1942.

| BALMUNG is an imposing iris, handsomely broad-petaled and full, and the marking is confined to a definite, relatively narrow margin along the edges of both standard and fall.
