From Milliken Iris Gardens catalog, 1948: BEL AIR (Milliken) A very much ruffled. round flower in the medium violet shades (hyssop violet to light hyssop violet- Ridgway). Both standards and falls are about the same size. 2 inches x 2 inches or larger. The style arms and crests are broader. The petals are translucent enough so that the ruffling is accented by highlights and shadows. It has a pleasing delicate fragrance. An altogether delightful iris. 2-1/2 feet. $10.00. |
