This salmon pink amoena has a white rim around the falls. There is a slight flush of pink at the base of the white standards. A bright tangerine beard adds to the distinction of this iris. It is named in honor of Betty J. Dunn who used the iris as a symbol of hope in the Mental Health movement in Connecticut and later by The National Alliance for the Mentally Ill. She was known as the Iris Lady. She was the wife of Joseph M. Dunn of Bethel CT. She promoted the use of potted irises to raise funds for Mental Health research. Specifically, genetic research in Schizophrenia. $35.00. Cape Iris. |
