'Black Lipstick' (Keith Keppel, R. 2015). Seedling# 09-104A. TB, 35" (89 cm). Early midseason bloom. Standards black-purple (darker than M&P 48-H-8); style arms dark purple (46-J-12); falls black; beards solid dark blue (47/48-H-12). Seedling# 04-95A: ('Oreo' x 'Hello Darkness') X seedling# 01-37B: ('Tangled Web' x seedling# 94-54B: (seedling# 90-82E, Oreo' pod parent sibling x 'Storm Track')). Keppel 2016, Honorable Mention 2018, Walther Cup 2018; Award of Merit 2021; Wister Medal 2023.

From Keith Keppel catalog 2016 "BLACK LIPSTICK EM 35" ((Oreo x Hello Darkness) X (Tangled Web x (Oreo pod parent sib x Storm Track))). Glossy and dark enough to satisfy the most demanding Goth maiden. Silky black purple standards only slightly lighter than velvet-enhanced black falls. Solid dark blue beards rest on clean, unmarked hafts. Generously ruffled, the compact flowers carried on well-branched stalks. #09-104A. $50.00.
