From 1937 Quality Gardens catalog, Freeport, IL. - BLUE DUSK (Reibold 1936) M. 38". A deep blue of marvelous color value; a Gaudichau seedling, but much bluer. S. soft satiny blue, F. dusky blue with rich velvety finish, soft blue beard and golden heart. Described by Mrs. Lothrop in A.I.S. Bulletin for October, 1935. $2.50
Blue Dusk. Rich, dark blue S. and F. deep blue velvet with blue ret. on a white haft. Good form, but bunched at the top a little with one bud toeing in. [Mrs. Herman E. Lewis, "Varietal Notes 1938", A.I.S. Bulletin 72 (January 1939): 10.]
