'Bluebell Lane' X
'Violet Favor'. Brown's Sunnyhill Gardens 1973.
BLUE LUSTER (0. Brown '73), in my opinion a true masterpiece. I must have had my back turned at the wrong time that year, as I didn't obtain it when it was introduced so had to be satisfied viewing it in other gardens-and how hard that was on me! It is a deep, somehow warm, tone of blue with beards of the same color, and as you're drawn close to it you pick up its lovely fragrance. Although a little short in my garden, 1975 was a happier year because I had it growing there. [
