'Columbia' (Chet Tompkins, R. 1951). TB, 38" (97 cm), Late midseason bloom. Color Class-B1, Bright blue self. (('Blue Shimmer' x 'Lovely Day') x 'And Thou' x ('Annabel' x 'Narain')). Fleur de Lis 1952.

From Wallace Iris Gardens catalog 1955: COLUMBIA - (Tompkins '51) M. (Sister to Courtesy) x (Anabel x Narain). Large, wide, a commanding rich deep blue. H. C. '51, H. M. '52. NET $12.00.
From Fleur De Lis Gardens catalog 1956: COLUMBIA (Tomp. 1952) M. Vl. 36 in.· Sib. to Courtesy x (Annabel x Narain). A medium sized flower of beautifully tailored, flaring form; this is the richest and truest medium blue we have so far seen. The petals are full and broad with heavy substance and a smooth gleaming finish. Stalks are strong, very well branched with good placement of blooms and carry a great many buds, giving a long season of bloom. H. M. 1952. 7.50.
