From Fleur De Lis Gardens catalog, 1967: COOL RIVER (Tompkins 1967) M.L. 36 in. (Trudy x Melodrama). A real beauty and an amoena with a distinct difference. It is an enormous globular flower with an almost Onco like form. At first glance many think it is indeed an Oncobred because of this form and because of its very narrow foliage. It has ultra broad, perfectly domed standards of glistening white and huge, very broad, rounded falls of semi-flaring form done in clear, clean powder blue. Heavily substanced and icily finished, the large flowers are very long lasting and the many buds per terminal extend its bloom over a long period. Producing remarkable new amoena colors and patterns. Net $25.00
