1940, Schreiner

'Coquetry' OB ( Robert Schreiner, R 1940). AB, TMB, tall. Early bloom. Standards white flushed and veined lilac; Falls light lilac pink with silvery white center, pink and maroon dots. (I. gatesii x I. lortetii) X 'Midwest'. 1941. [48 chr.]

From Carl Salbach catalog 1942: COQUETRY (Schreiner 1941). An oncocyclus hybrid that is easy to grow. Standards are light blue in effect and falls are a delicate subdued pink, a characteristic of the oncocyclus. Blooms medium large and slightly ruffled. A splendid new iris. Rhizomes always small. Early. 20". $5.00.
