From Mission Bell Gardens catalog, 1962: DEBONAIR BLUE (Judge Guy Rogers, Wichita Falls, Texas) Midseason to Late. 36 inches. Glorious diamond-dusted madonna blue that will bring new honors to its famous parents. The large blossoms have perfect balance; standards closed; falls horizontally flared, measuring four inches in width. Gently waved, heavily substanced flowers are carried on strong, well-branched stalks. Beautiful foliage; fast of increase. (Lady Rogers X Cahokia.) HC '60. Net 25.00.
I see DEBONAIR BLUE, Judge Roger’s latest creation (to be released this year) - a wide-petaled, heavily textured, non-fading light blue. Large, beautifully ruffled blossoms with closed standards and horizontal falls, carried on medium-tall, stalwart stems present a picture that wings its way straight to your heart.
