'Delight' (Grace Sturtevant, 1923) TB. Midseason bloom. Color Class-R7L. ('Juniata' x 'Juniata') x 'Aglaia'. Award of Merit A.I.S. 1928.

Awarded the AIS Award of Merit for 1923 introductions published in the January 1928 AIS Bulletin, page 53, see reference below.

From Glen Road iris Gardens catalog, 1923: DELIGHT (Sturt. 1923) — My favorite among the plicatas. The rose-hued style-branches contrast charmingly with the pure white petals; of good growth and habit; 3 to 4 ft. 15.00.
From Uranium County Iris catalog 1962: White ground marked pinkish-violet plicata.
 
The AIS Awards from 1926 and 1927 judges reports at the New York Botanical Garden were published in the January 1928 Bulletin, page 53.
