From Quality Gardens catalog 1930: EDEN PHILPOTTS (Perry, 1921) E. 36". A very beautiful iris and one of the most striking varieties yet introduced. Its enormous flowers are produced in the wildest profusion quite early in the season. Large well formed flowers, a beautiful shade of dark lavender blue. A wonderful landscape blue. $.50.
