| ELLA WINCHESTER (Grinter 1935) M. 38 ". A truly beautiful iris named in honor of the late Mrs. Charles L. Winchester, wife of the president of the J. B. Lyon Co., publishers of Flower Grower. The flowers are very large, of a clear intense red with a smooth velvety finish . The petals are one color, without venation and the effect unusually lovely. Very outstanding is this new red .
