From Indian Spring Farms catalog, 1927: FOLKWANG (Goos &. Koenemann). S. light rose-pink; F. claret-red, with conspicuous veinings of brownish-yellow, edged light-a beautiful color blending, hard to describe. 24 inches. $2.00 each.
Comment from Mike Unser, 7/10/16: Standards can range from pure white to pink and often have a bit of the fall color on them like Loreley. The white rim on the falls varies with the temps too, sometimes being more showy and other times barely there. Sometimes the blooms are beautifully formed and sometimes they are super sloppy looking. It’s a wild one.
