'Franklin B. Mead' ( Mrs. Franklin B. Mead- J.M.E. Riedel, R. 1934) TB; Mid bloom season. Color Class W2; ('Los Angeles X 'True Charm'); Longfield 1936. Synonym: 'White Nile'.

Longfield catalog 1936 states "A magnificient white plicata of 'Los Angeles' type but even more beuatiful. The flowers are large, 5x5½ inches, have good substance with 8-9 flowers on each well and deeply branched stalk, 50-52 inches tall. Perhaps its most outstanding feature is its hardiness and prolific blooming habit. Is especially valuable in the garden because of its height."
