'French Flair' (Jeannette Nelson, R. 1960). Seedling# 58-107-3. TB, 40" (102 cm), Midseason to late bloom. Color Class-B1, Hyacinth blue self, deeper near center of falls; yellow beard. 'Wide World' X 'Rehobeth'. Eden Road 1961.

From AIS Bulletin #161, April 1961. Introducing FRENCH FLAIR (J. Nelson '61) ML. 40 in. (Wide World X Rehobeth). Unusual and captivating. Closed standards are hyacinth blue deepening toward the center to a luscious darker blue. Falls are lighter and flare nicely. This has a fine stalk. Prolific. Fertile both ways. HC '60. $25.00. Eden Road.
From Fleur De Lis Gardens catalog 1963: FRENCH FLAIR (Nelson '61) M.L. 40 in. (Wide World x Rehobeth). A reverse bitone, this has hyacinth blue standards flushed deeper around the midribs, and falls of pale blue white. Fine flaring form and large size. Excellent candelabra stalk. H.M. 1962 20.00.
