From Campos Altos catalog, 1924 :GAVIOTA. Creamy white plicata, both standards and falls distinctly edged yellow. Of flne finish and good texture, the coloring of its medium- sized flowers is unusual. Hardiness quite unquestioned $2.50
"A lovely, creamy white with a faint suggestion of a yellow plicata edge. Fine garden tone. Don't miss it". F. X. Schreiner. An Iris Lover's Catalog, 1930. page 29.
From Quality Gardens catalog 1930: GAVIOTA (Mohr 1924) M. 34". A creamy white plicata both standards and falls distinctly edged yellow. An exquisite and unique color combination. Of fine texture and great substance. $.50.
