From BIS YB 1938: "It has a strikingly pleasing contrast between creamy standards. and falls and the clean gold at the haft and the gold beard: 40 inches tall; three laterals, the longest 6 1/2 ins. Size 5 ins by 6 ins." M. E. Douglas, USA
[Cooley's Garden catalog 1946]: Solid deep cream, but with an outpouring of rich, golden orange all about the central portion of the flower. Tall, perfectly branched, very floriferous, it will stand out in a planting of hundreds of varieties. HM AIS, 1936; AM, 1938. Stock very limited. Each 50c; 3 for $1.25
