From AIS Bulletin #193 April 1969 Introducing GRAND BAROQUE 65-23B-2. ML & Re. A sensational remontant directly out of HENRY SHAW. Reblooms in September. The higWy ruffled flowers are large and of good substance. On opening the color registers as a blue and green bicolor, but by the third day the blue fades, leaving a Chartreuse amoena. Simply wonderful growth and hardiness. This could be the Snow Flurry of the remontant world, but it is pollen parent and thoroughly hardy. (Henry Shaw X Replicata). $25. Avonbank Iris Gardens.
GRAND BAROQUE (Zurbrigg '69). Another highly regarded new rebloomer. A cool chartreuse amoena with light yellow beard and just a hint of violet in the center of the falls. Domed touching standards and semiflaring falls both ruffled and fluted. Sturdy well-branched stalks. [Sexton, Don (1972). Varietal Comments, American Iris Society Bulletin 204(January 1972), 26.]
