'Grape Festival' (Larry Gaulter, R. 1968). Seedling# 66-101. TB, 36" (91 cm), Midseason to late bloom. Color Class-V5D, Concord grape coloring highlighted tokay; brown hafts; tangerine beard. 'Baccarat' X 'Laurie'. Cooley 1969. Honorable Mention 1970.

ORIGINAL CATALOG DESCRIPTION:

GRAPE FESTIVAL (Gaulter, 1969) Each $25.00. An Iris of stupendous proportions–one of the largest we have ever seen–in a shade resembling Concord grape juice. There is some bronze shading on the haft which is lit up with an almost white beard. Just a hint of bronze adorns the lace-edged falls. Height over three feet. Midseason. No. 66-101. [Cooley's Iris, 1969].
