'Happy Wanderer' (E. Greig Lapham, R. 1954). TB, 36" (91 cm). Midseason bloom. Color Class-R1, Red self (tapestry, M & P 7-J-5), dark-orange beard. 'Town Talk' X 'Dress Rehearsal'. Longfield 1957.

From Longfield Iris Farm catalog, 1957: HAPPY WANDERER (Town Talk x Dress Rehearsal). A wonderful clear Tapestry Red self with clean smooth hafts and a dark orange beard. The flower is large, in fact, the largest red Iris we have ever seen, with broad well rounded falls and broad closed standards. An Iris of excellent substance withstanding all weather conditions. 36 inches. Midseason. This Iris has been greatly admired by the many visitors to our gardens. $15.00.
