Gordon Plough, R. 1967). Seedling# 62-51-24. TB, 33" (84 cm). Early to late bloom. Color Class Y1F. Standards lemon-yellow (Wilson 4/1) with almost pink glow in center; falls lemon-yellow (4); Indian yellow beard.

From 1968 Eden Road catalog: HOT SPELL (Plough '68) EML 33 in. Rainbow Gold X Golden Wings. An intensely colored brilliant yellow that glows even on cloudy days. Standards are Lemon Yellow, Wilson 4/1, ruffled and closed and in some lights appear to have pink glow in center area. Falls are Lemon, 4, and are ruffled with a jaunty flare. This wore the garden name of Caliente which wasn't available. Three and four branches with terminal. Pollen fertile. $20 |
