Translation: "Plants rising from 35 to 50 cm; Idion, yellow ground, falls red at the top and bordered with yellow."

From H. P. Simpson catalog, 1922: "IDION (Lernon, 1840) S. and F. both golden yellow, with the falls strongly marked with brown. Not large. One of the old varieties and there are many who will like it. 18-24-inch. 20¢."
