From Bonnewitz catalog, 1927: J. C. WELD (Perry). This new Perry variety is in a class with Leverrier, but does not have as much red in its color tone as that variety. Late blooming; height, 33 inches. The originator’s description is as follows: “S. light rose-purple; F. brilliant crimson plum, shaded violet, brown base; remarkably effective; very late flowering”. $2.50. |
