References:

From Wing Seed catalog, 1919: LADY FOSTER — (Foster.) One of the finest of the Foster hybrids, flowers very large, of heavy texture, carried very erect. S. pale blue; F. light bluish-violet, veined old gold at the throat. Three and one-half feet. $ 1.60
From Movilla Gardens catalog, 1921: LADY FOSTER (Foster 1913.) A. M., R. H. S. 1916. S. pale blue; F. light bluish violet, veined old-gold at the broad throat. One of the noblest varieties, unusually tall and large, but like most Cypriana hybrids apparently not adapted to eastern American conditions, as plants are not vigorous or free bloomers.

From H. P. Simpson catalog, 1922: LADY FOSTER (Foster, 1913) — S. pale blue; F. light bluish violet. Flowers unusually large, smooth and stout textured. Splendid, bold bloom. 30-42 inch. Not yet for sale.
From Bonnewitz catalog, 1923-24: LADY FOSTER (Foster) $2.00. This is one of the most beautiful Irises of the Lord of June type, but it is extremely difficult to grow. I believe it is more beautiful than Lord of June but it is not as reliable as that famous variety. I can furnish comparatively few roots of it, and I hope that purchasers have better success with it than I have had.
