The Garden p.306, 1915 notes "Iris Lohengrin. – This is one of the most beautiful and distinct of the pallida set. The flowers are coloured rosy mauve. A variety of merit and distinction, possessed of a fine stature. From Messrs. Wallace and Co., Colchester."
From Wing Seed catalog, 1919: LOHENGRIN — (Pall.) New. Cattleya-mauve in various shades from a tinted white in style arms and base of falls to the deeper coloring at tips, of divisions, giving a lovely effect of shading. All divisions very broad and full, standards ruffled. Flower of beautiful form and large size. Vigorous plant. Three feet. 50c.
From H. P. Simpson catalog, 1922: LOHENGRIN (G. & K., 1910) — Rich silvery lilac shaded deeper on the falls, of the tone of a Cattleya orchid. Fine, widely expanded flower. 30 inches. 35¢
From Bonnewitz catalog, 1926: LOHENGRIN (Goos & Koenemann) $0.35. A superb widely expanded, thick petaled flower of rich silvery lilac, which shows a delightful pink tone in the early hours of the morning, and also after about five o’clock in the afternoon. Two rhizomes at 30c each; five rhizomes or more at 25c each.
