'Mary D' (Melba Hamblen, R. 1987). Seedling# H81-27A-1. TB, 36" (91 cm). Late midseason bloom. Standards smoky pink (RHS 70D) in cool weather (warm bright pink in hot weather); lacy violet-blue style crests edged violet-pink; falls violet-blue (92A), lightening toward beard, flash of deeper color extending from hafts toward edge of Standards; burnt orange beard with 1/2" blue tip. 'Sophistication' X seedling# 79-111 M: ((('Touché' x 'Misty Dawn' sibling) x 'Sienna Star' sibling) x (('New Rochelle'). Mission Bell 1988.
