1956, Hamblen

'Mission Starlite' (Melba Hamblen, R. 1954). Seedling# 51-66B. TB, 36" (91 cm). Late midseason bloom. Color Class-BV1L, Self of light blue-violet, deep violet haft, few haft marks; beard blue into throat. 'Chivalry' X 'White Wedgewood'. Mission Bell 1956.

From Fleur De Lis Gardens catalog 1963: MISSION STARLITE (Hamblen ' 56) M.L. 36in. (Chivalry x White Wedgewood). A clear silvery, French blue with rich violet veining at the haft which gives it much charm. H.M. 1956. 1.00.
