From Tell’s Iris Gardens catalog,1959: PARTY PINK (Luzon Crosby) Early to Late. 38 inches. (Tell's 49-19 A: ((Elmohr x Golden Eagle) x (Pink Formal)) x (Pink Papa)) X (C52-6: (Sister to Pink Formal x Tell's 48-36A: Hall flamingo Pink sdlg x Pink Formal.) This large pink has a definite lavender cast which actually makes it much more pink than pinks with the apricot, salmon or peach (yellow) influence. Beard is the same general color of the flower, but richer. Maker of small rhizomes, but of very fast growth. A good stock permits a price of modest range. The slight Elmohr blood makes it fascinating. Some of the same blood of my 49-19 A is giving me fine pinks. $15.00 |
