| From Tell’s Iris Gardens catalog,1959: PINK MELODY (Fisher Harris, Salt Lake City, Utah.) Midseason. 32 inches. (((Hall's 42-10 x SO 72) x (Chantilly)) x (Heritage))) (June Meredith). Yes, PINK MELODY is pinker than its pollen parent. The standards are ruffled and nicely held. The falls ruffle, flare and then recurve somewhat in the manner of the grandparent Party Dress. Altogether a beautiful garden subject and truly a charming flower. We think the pedigree unexcelled for possibilities in breeding deep pinks and heavy lacing. It should be very useful, too, for working in the Median class. This mated to Yellow Dresden, Golden Flash, Yum Yum and Two Bits will breed some delightful small flowered pinks with plenty of lacing. A vigorous and healthy grower, but a producer of small rhizomes. This should become as popular as Fisher Harris' first introduction, Little Gem, and a lovely companion for the border. $20.00
