'Plainsman' (Rudolph Kleinsorge, R. 1958). Seedling #457-A. TB, 36" (91 cm), Midseason bloom. Color Class-Y5, Light golden-tan self; gold beard. ('Chamois' x 'Cascade Splendor') x 'Spanish Fandango'. Cooley 1958.

An alluring self in gleaming golden tan, with undertones of apricot. Its giant flowers usually open in groups of 3, making a magnificent display. (Chamois x Cascade Splendor) X Spanish Fandango).
