'Purple Pirouette' (Bernard Hamner, R. 1988). Seedling# 83-301. TB, 38" (97 cm). Midseason bloom. Ruffled deep purple; white beard heavily tipped purple. ('Princess Gloria' x 'Navy Strut') X (('Liberty Royal' x ('Touché' x 'Latin Lover')) x 'Princess Gloria'). Hamner's Iris 1988.

From AIS Bulletin #269 April 1988 Introducing PURPLE PIROUETTE-TB, 37", M. Ruffled dark purple self with smooth wide petals. White beards are heavily tipped purple. Erect conical or touching standards. Near perfect branching with 7 buds, strong healthy foliage and rapid increase.
