■(TB) 'Raspberry Fudge'

1989, Keppel

'Raspberry Fudge' (Keith Keppel, R. 1988). Seedling# 82-7T. TB, 36" (91 cm). Early to midseason bloom. Standards old mauve (M&P 46-I-5), almost solid suffusion on near pinard yellow (9-H-2) ground; falls near pinard yellow (9-H-2) ground, small white area near beard, perilla purple (47-J-3) 3/4" margin and hafts; white based beard, perilla purple midsection, burnt orange tip. 'Gigolo' X 'Columbia The Gem'. Keppel 1989. Honorable Mention 1991, Award of Merit 1993.

  • TB 'Raspberry Fudge' bloomed at the Minnesota Landscape Arboretum, zone 4b, approximately June 1-9, in 2017. Although I didn't see any purple based foliage at the base of the leaves of 'Raspberry Fudge', there is a small amount of dark purple coloring on the spathes. -- HollyJohnson2017 -04-01 - 24 Sep 2017
