From Cooley's Gardens catalog for 1937: "Glowing blood red, the standards suffused with bronze and rose. A pollen child of 'Burning Bronze' which Dr. Kleinsorge used in hybridizing long before its introduction. In Rebellion we have a flower of faultless form and habit, vivid coloring, substance which sheds water like a ducks back. Easily worth twice the price, but in an Iris world where reds and near reds are crowding each other for attention, we introduce this at .. $10.00 each" |
