Keith Keppel, R. 2016). Seedling# 07-99A. TB, 36" (91 cm). Early midseason bloom. Standards veronica violet (M&P 43-H-8/9) shading to dove grey (45-B-1) toward edge; style arms pale greyed violet (43-B-2), nankeen yellow (10-F-3) edge; falls blended ecru (11-C-2) and rosy beige (11-B-4) hafts, remainder oyster white (10-B-1) to amber white (11-C-1) with minuet (41-C-8) center suffusion; beards burnt sienna (5-F-12), faint lavender cast at end.

From Keith Keppel Iris catalog, 2017: RESTLESS SPIRIT EM 36” (Secret Rites X Flame Amber) #07-99A. Another expression of the “dark top” pattern, with subtle fall blendings. Standards veronica violet shaded dove grey toward edge. Falls blended ecru to rosy beige at the hafts, remainder oyster to amber white, with subtle minuet violet center suffusion. Beards are burnt sienna, with just a faint cast of lavender at the end. Another good garden iris, with excellent marks for increase, branching and buds, and long bloom season. $50.00. |
