Awaiting original catalog description
From Movilla Gardens catalog, 1921: ROSEWAY. (Bliss 1919.) A deep red-pink Pallida with no purple; very broad orange beard. An improved Queen of May; lighter and pinker than Caprice. Very early.

From Indian Spring Farms catalog, 1927: ROSEWAY (Bliss 1919) 8.2. S. phlox-purple; F. of a duller shade; orange beard. One of the brightest of the so-called red Pallidas yet grown. Good for landscape plantings. 36 inches. 50 cts. each; $1.25 for 3; $4.00 per doz.
From Bonnewitz catalog, 1927: ROSEWAY (Bliss). The very new variety, Evadne, is the only one I have found which gives a deeper rose color when used as a landscape variety. Roseway is a medium size flower, and blooms in midseason, and until Evadne becomes much lower in price Roseway will still hold its place as a rose-colored landscape variety $0.75.
