ROYAL CHARIOT (Framke 1965) M.L. 38 in. Framke 56-44; -((Prairie Sunset x June Meredith) x Techny Chimes)) x Glittering Amber. A large, excellently formed flower of heavy substance with extra wide petals and broadly fashioned, overlapping hafts. Very dark in color for its class, it is an intense orange with a full undertone of bright cerise-pink and a wide, full beard of cerise-rose. The cerise color tones add to its brilliance which is further accented by the thick icy looking petals with their sparkling finish. Excellent placement of the huge flowers on strong widely branched stalks show them off to good advantage. A fine grower with huge rhizomes and extra broad foliage. No. 62-16 ..... $25.00. |
