William Bledsoe by J. Burch, R. 1978). Seedling# 75-58. TB, 33" (84 cm), Midseason bloom. Standards buff-orange (RHS 22A); falls pale violet (84B) and brown (166D) blend, giving bronzy brown appearance; cadmium orange beard.

From AIS Bulletin #232 Winter 1979 Introducing SECOND EMOTION (Bledsoe). TB, 33", M (75-58). The heavily laced standards are buff-orange (RHS 22A); ruffled falls are a pale violet (RHS 84B) and brown (l66D) blend, which gives the iris a bronzy brown appearance. The beard is cadmium orange (23A). There is 3-way branching plus terminal; 6-7 buds. (Flameburst X 72-36). $25.00. Burch Iris Gardens. |
