'Silver Flame' (Jesse Wills, R. 1952). Seedling# 8-51. TB 36" Early to midseason bloom. Color Class-W4. Yellow bicolor. Standards white, falls medium yellow; gold beard. (('Lily Pons' x 'Happy Days') x 'Golden Eagle') x (('At Dawning' x 'Happy Days') x 'Shannopin')., Fairmount 1953.

From Fleur de Lis Gardens catalog 1956: SILVER FLAME (Wills 1953) M. 38 in. ((Lily Pons x Happy Days) x Golden Eagle)) x ((At Dawning x Happy Days) x Shannopin)). Another new one in the yellow amoena class, this is particularly pure and clean with snowy white stands and medium yellow falls. Large and excellently formed. 6.00.
