From Tell’s Iris Garden catalog, 1955: SNOW GODDESS (Joseph Becherer). E.-M. (Snow Flurry x White Goddess.) This gorgeous, big,ruffled, wide-petaled warm white (due perhaps to the yellow beard) stole my heart last spring and appears to be the very best of the many fine white Snow Flurry seedlings I have seen thus far, and this is saying much, for we all know the quality this wonderful breeder has given its children. A credit to this great hybridizer of long experience. Heavy, well-branched, 38-inch stalks. $20,00
From Rainbow Hybridizing Gardens catalog 1963: SNOW GODDESS (Becherer '55) EM-38". See Ektachrome. Massive heavilY ruffled flowers with white petals & a yellow beard. Stalks widelY branched with perfect flower placement. Much like wonderful '59 Dykes Iris Swan Ballet; I personally prefer SNOW GODDESS. A vigorous husky grower, will be the pride of your entire garden. I can give it my highest recommendation. Finest Iris among either Colossals or Tall Bearded with a strong re-blooming tendency--sometimes 60% will re-bloom in late fall or winter. AM'58,[Snow Flurry X White Goddess. Regularly $3.00; on $10 order $1.95; on $25 order $1.50.
