| From Milliken Iris Gardens catalog, 1940: SPRING DANCE (Milliken) This refreshingly beautiful iris is truly a song in the garden with its superb flowers carried high on giant four to five-foot stems. The color effect is a fresh uniform light lavender faintly suffused with golden yellow. An orange beard that deepens to a brilliant glow at the center of the flower gives a warmth to the yellow suffusion. Spring Dance is another iris particularly recommended for the milder climates, for it is a luxuriant grower and an early bloomer. Its hardiness is not as yet tested. $3.50.
