From AIS Bulletin #213 April 1974 Introducing STAR OF ESTE (Sellman). TB, 36", Midseason. (Light and Lovely X French Lace). Light and Lovely is proving to be a remarkable parent, and Star of Este is one of the proofs. It is a WHITE white, brilliant as the diamond for which it is named. A huge, lacy self, it has a lemon beard, closed standards, widely flaring falls, candelabra - type branching and great vigor of plant. Seedling D-9. Net $25.00. Rees Iris Garden.
