| From Fleur De Lis Gardens catalog, 1968: STAR TREK (Tompkins 1968) M.L. 40 in. (Arpeggio x Buttercup Bower). This is undoubtedly the best of this type we have so far grown or seen. A recessive on the Buttercup Bower or Golden Fleece type, this is the richest and largest as well. It is brilliant Gilt Yellow with a large velvety white area on the fall. The huge flowers are very, very broad and it is one of the most heavily and beautifully ruffled Iris we know. It is exceedingly broad of petal and has perfectly domed stands and flaring, heavily fluted falls. It is so heavily substanced and long lasting and has so many buds that it is usually, along with Radiant Bride, one of the last to cease bloom. As large as it is, it is still a most graceful Iris as it has very tall, widely branched stalks. The plants are hardy with wide, clean, purple based foliage. No. 64-137. Net $25.00
