From Tell’s Iris Garden catalog, 1958: SULTAN'S CAPITOL • (Rev. A. K. Edmison, Brighton, Ont., Canada). Early-Midseason. 36 inches. (Sultan's Robe x Capitola.) This reddish-brown onco-blooded flower seems to have every good quality. Wide, ruffled and flaring.There is a strong suggestion of a signal patch. This catches the eye· of everyone interested in quality as well as lovers of the Mohr family. Perfectly winter hardy, having been bred in Canada. Limited stock, since some of this was also lost in the weed-killing accident. $25.00 |
