1974, Brown

'Sunrise Magic' (Rex Brown, R. 1973). Seedling# 68-20-5. TB, 36" (91 cm), Late midseason bloom. Standards salmon pink (Wilson 412), blending to aureolin yellow (3/2) on edge; falls aureolin yellow, salmon pink on both sides of saturn red beard. Seedling# 64-67-3: ('Orange Beacon' x Fay pink seedling) X 'Flaming Star'. J. & J. Iris 1974.

From AIS Bulletin #213 April 1974 Introducing SUNRISE MAGIC (Rex Brown '74). 68.20.5: ((64-67..3: (Orange Beacon x Fay pink) X Flaming Star). TB, 36", ML. The standards are salmon pink (Wilson 412) blending to aureolin yellow (Wilson 3/2) on both sides of the saturn red beard (Wilson 13). Good form with flaring falls and domed standards. Having good substance and lightly ruftled. Net $25.00. J&J Iris Garden.
