From Melrose Gardens catalog, 1968: TAN SUN (Margaret Burnett '68) 34" REMONTANT Oct. (My Honeycomb X Cayenne Capers). This iris is like its father in habit. If Cayenne Capers reblooms for you, this one should too. A bright glowing color in both spring and fall with deep amber standards undertoned yellow to give the color-carrying power. Flaring falls are cream white shading to yellow at the border and over this strong amber pattern along the ruffled edges; deep amber on the hafts and yellow beards. Excellent branching; healthy plant. $20.00 |
