From Wing Seed catalog, 1919: LA TENDRESSE- (Pall.) Tall vigorous plant, full spike of large flowers with elegant globular form. All divisions very broad and ruffled. Coloring distinct, bright blue, brightened with reddish-purple in center of falls. Four feet. 35ยข.
From Dreer's 1932 catalog "La Tendresse. Standards and falls of an even ageratum-blue; of compact habit, 1 1/2 feet."
