From Mid-America Garden catalog, 2011: THINKING CAP (T.Johnson ‘11) TB Late 30” (76cm). Thinking Cap is another quality attempt at a reverse blue and pink bicolor - blue standards and pink falls. As with all the other contenders, the colors stay somewhat smoky and standards still lean toward violet instead of blue. Hopefully it won't be too many more generations before we get a clean version. Reverse blue and yellow bicolors should also begin to emerge from similar types of breeding. This has been as big a challenge as putting true blue beards on clean white TB flowers. Sdlg. TZ30A: Champagne Frost X Belgian Princess. $50.00. |
